BYD Nepal Showcases Denza Z9 GT, Denza D9, and More at BYD Hi-Tech Week

Cimex Inc., the official distributor of BYD in Nepal, has unveiled the Denza Z9 GT and Denza D9 at the ongoing BYD Hi-Tech Week in Kathmandu, giving enthusiasts a glimpse into the brand’s premium lineup of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Among them, the Denza D9, an all-electric luxury MPV, is confirmed for a future launch in the Nepalese market, offering a high-end, spacious, and technologically advanced option for families and business professionals.

The Denza Z9 GT is a high-performance grand tourer built on BYD's advanced e4 platform, featuring a triple electric motor setup that delivers an impressive 952 hp, enabling supercar-like acceleration. Its sleek, aerodynamic design, with an aggressive front fascia and coupe-inspired silhouette, enhances its sporty appeal. Available in both BEV and PHEV variants, it offers flexibility for different driving needs.

Despite its 2,875 kg kerb weight, the 710 kW (952 hp) tri-motor system ensures rapid acceleration and responsive power delivery. It sprints from 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, making it remarkably agile for its size. The rear-wheel steering system enhances handling and maneuverability, especially in urban environments, with the rear wheels turning opposite to the front wheels at low speeds for tighter turns and easier parking.

Inside, the Denza Z9 GT offers a luxurious five-seat cabin with premium materials and cutting-edge technology. It is the first BYD model to feature the 9000 smart cockpit chip, supporting up to 11 connected screens, including a 13.2″ driver display, a 17.3″ infotainment screen, a 13.2″ passenger display, and a 50″ augmented reality (AR) head-up display (HUD). This combination of power, innovation, and comfort positions the Z9 GT as a flagship high-performance electric grand tourer.y

The Denza D9 is a premium all-electric MPV designed for luxury, comfort, and efficiency. Built on BYD’s advanced e-platform 3.0, the D9 EV features a single electric motor producing 230 kW (308 hp) and 360 Nm of torque, delivering a smooth yet powerful driving experience.

Equipped with BYD’s Blade Battery, the D9 EV offers an impressive 620 km CLTC range on a full charge, ensuring long-distance capability. It supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes. The dual-motor AWD variant is also expected to be available in some markets, providing enhanced performance and traction.

The Denza D9 prioritizes passenger comfort with its spacious and luxurious cabin, featuring first-class-like captain seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. A 15.6-inch floating infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch driver display, and individual entertainment screens for rear passengers enhance the high-tech experience. Additionally, it comes with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), ensuring safety and convenience for both drivers and passengers.

Alongside the Denza Z9 GT and Denza D9, BYD Nepal is also showcasing an exciting lineup of vehicles at the event. The Shark 6, a hybrid pickup truck, offers a blend of power and efficiency. The Yangwang U8, a luxury electric SUV, features a four-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) system and exceptional off-road capabilities. Meanwhile, the Fangchengbao Bao 5, a rugged plug-in hybrid SUV, combines bold styling with modern technology, catering to outdoor enthusiasts who prioritize both performance and efficiency.
